So, ever since I could remember I've had this fear of unknown bathrooms, and would ask people if I could use to even if I'd already asked many times before. But it's not always unknown bathrooms. If the light in the bathroom is off I turn it on, even if it's broad daylight. If there's even the slightest noise of the door opening or something creeking, I almost go into this stage of panick. I think I know atleast two reasons of why I both have a fear of bathrooms and the fear of inclosed spaces.
You see, my mom told me this story that she hear me say when I was very young. Basicly the story begins when I was at my grandmothers house and I was taking a bath. Mom said I screamed and ran out of the bathroom pale as a sheet and shaking really bad. She asked me what was wrong and I told her that I saw an old lady in the bathtube with me. After trying to get me back into the bathroom many upon many times. They finally just bathed me in the sink.
The other reason as to why I have this fear, and one I can still remember,is that When I was younger I was locked in the bathroom with the lights out by my uncle, who wasn't very old, probly near the age of 13, then him and his friends would pound on the doors and walls of the room next to the bathroom. When I would beg and cry to be let out they would, laughing at me as I just slowly came out and of course told my mother what they did.

Well, since i was, like 7 years old, i've been dethly afraid of elevators. I always think they're going to lock and im not going to be able to get out or the cord might break and i'll fall down to my death. I might go into elevators, however, if there are other people in there that arent my family. I feel even more comfortable if there are people my age that are punk... like, the subculture; black clothes with mohawks, kind of punks. Im not sure why...

im scared of toilets when they have no water in. if you've never seen one before, try going to a caravan and looking at the toilet before they've switched the water on. its strange i know, but it frightens the life out of me..
Score:
Not a phobia at all really, but it is strange. When I'm high up and looking down over a fence, for example, being a few floors up in a shopping centre and looking down over the edge, I suddenly feel as though I might fall down. This can either be that I'll suddenly lose balance and topple over, or that I'll throw myself off, half-accidentally, to see what it feels like. I don't actually contemplate doing this, but I feel as though I might, as I say, half-accidentally do it.

I have a phobia of being trapped in a locked place, whether it's a house, office of closet. I don't fear space or lack thereof, just being locked in.

I have a fear of cantilevered stairs-- as in, I cannot climb normal spiral staircases that are more than, say, two stories -- and the stairs up the insides of towers or domes are simply impossible. I get a horrible shrinking and expanding at the same time sort of feeling, and I have to crouch down on the step or run down very lightly like a cat to the bottom before I feel safe. See-through steps that are cantilevered are the worst. Once I froze on something like the thirty-fifth step up the inside of a huge tower -- I couldn't go up or down. And then this woman came up behind me and froze on the exact same step.

I'm thirteen years old and I am terrified to sleep in hotel beds and when I do I have to use my own pillow and my own blanket. The last time I went to a hotel I forgot both a pillow and blanket. My mom made me use a pillow from the hotel. I put a towel over it and I refused to use any kind of blankets from the hotel. Still I could not sleep. The whole night I got maybe two hours of sleep and in my dreams I was freaking out (like shaking and wanting to scream). I guess I'm scared the bedding isn't clean or something but all I know is I CANNOT sleep in hotel beds.

I'm quite afraid of the dark and being outside at night. I feel like there is something (I've imagined everything from vampires and zombies to raccoons and mountain lions) in the darkness that will get me. Every night when I go to bed, I have to go outside and up to the barn in which my room is in a finished part. I'm always afraid, but the few times I've not had a flashlight have been pure hell! I'm also afraid that there's something outside in the dark part of the barn which will get me.

I have an irrational fear of escalators. I have no idea why I am afraid of them. I have to wait for at least 3 steps to go by then I get on and I feel nervous and sick until I get off.
