I have a fear of fingernail and toenail clippers. I don't know exactly why but when I hear them being used or see them it freaks me out. I always picture in my head that my teeth are being clipped off by them. This is something that I even think of when the clippers are nowhere near me. I just randomly think about it. I can't stand the sound of them and I can't even stand to hear the word "toenail clippers" it makes me crazy. I cringe just thinking about it. It is like the fingernails on a chalkboard kind of feeling, only over and over and over again!!

I have always been afraid of things that are bigger than they are supposed to be. An example would be comic props such as extra large sun glasses, pencils, tv remotes, foam hands. I also get really nervous around large inflatable items that are used for advertisement's sake or statues of people that are larger than life-size. My body tenses up at the mere thought of Mount Rushmore. (I could barely type that last sentence.)

I have a morbid fear of gorillas. If I see one ANYWHERE, it triggers a panic attack (I have anxiety) and I feel paralyzed.
The thought of a gorilla (any type, but mostly silverbacks, big males) running towards me, roaring and just barreling towards me... *shudders*... they scare the crap out of me.

I am scared of electric fans especially in bathrooms where I am on my own. The thought of being shut in a room with one scares me to death especially if they come on automatically.
My one recurring nightmare is that I am desperate for the toilet and I end up in this room with about 20 toilets and massive big fans on the wall behind some, of which are starting to spin. The room is lit with florescent lights and the fans are massive.
Sounds weird but I have to 'get to know' a fan before I can use a bathroom. I do not go to the toilet when I am out if there is an electric fan in there. Especially above my head. Hand dryers also scare.

Ever since I was younger, I've had this phobia of the veins and tendons in mine, or anyones wrists! Like, when someone is lifting something heavy, and they bulge out, they completely creep me out! If someone knows about it, they will intentionally run at me with their wrists out!.. I just cover my face and close my eyes until they stop doing it.

I am very scared to talk to employees in stores. I always give my money to my boyfriend and make him pay for my groceries because I'm afraid to.

I'm thirteen years old and I am terrified to sleep in hotel beds and when I do I have to use my own pillow and my own blanket. The last time I went to a hotel I forgot both a pillow and blanket. My mom made me use a pillow from the hotel. I put a towel over it and I refused to use any kind of blankets from the hotel. Still I could not sleep. The whole night I got maybe two hours of sleep and in my dreams I was freaking out (like shaking and wanting to scream). I guess I'm scared the bedding isn't clean or something but all I know is I CANNOT sleep in hotel beds.

I afraid of speaking. I have this fear from my school days. During my school days my friends are very talkative and do share there things. But I silently listen to them. But I dont like my silence. I like to speak with them, but I feel I dont have any information to tell them and also sometimes when I speak because of fear I will forget things. I feel ashamed of this. In my college days, this fear seemed to be reduced in a course of time. But when everyone started mingling with each other I am not able to do that. I have this fear daily. Now somehow I am managing by reducing this fear. But age grows my responsibilities are increasing. So I need to find a solution to avoid my fear of speaking permanently.
